Hey guys,
Does anyone know a good wing-repair shop in the Atlanta area?
Last session, I noticed a stress-bubble starting to form on the leading edge of my wing.
Thanks,
-Stuart

Mostly a kite thing but windsurfers have done it in the past and I'm sure wingers are involved, too.
Not as windy as Epic Sunday, but warmer. If the forecast holds, I plan to sail at Van Pugh. Please post if you can go.
This is what we should have written for that high school English teacher that was trying to fund symbolism in everything. An examination of the song "Found a Peanut" which my dear wife learned in summer camp and shared with our kids on many a road trip. An absolute legend.

Do you find it better to put on your wetsuit first and then rig, or rig first then put on your wetsuit?
Sunday’s forecast looks like the day we’ve been waiting for: no traffic, 50F, sunny & good NW wind. I plan to sail the afternoon at VP. Please post if you can go.
For all of you headed to Old Fed/LLSC in next couple of months

Superb article from Big Winds explaning today's shapes and how they compare to older designs

just an fyi, I'll probably be selling my Starboard foil kit. It's the iqFoil mast (C400), 115+ fuse and every "Classic" race wing from 1000 down to 550 (1000, IQFoil 900, 800, 725, 650, 550) with full shim set. Bonus is an extra stab, a 115++ fuse in B- condition, an extra -255 stab, 330 stab, original C300 mast and bag to hold most of it. Haven't decided on pricing yet. If you are interested in just the 330 stab or older mast, I'd sell them separately.

I'm heading down to Tarpon Springs, FL for a few weeks, 1/21 - 2/11. If you're in the area, give me a call, 404-735-4944.

This is something I want to try. Not sure what board/foil I would need. Anyone have experience?
Nils Bach captures what almost every one of us has felt at some point getting ready for a cold weather session.
@3:25 For some reason, it's not advancing properly to the time stamp.
Saw this the other day and was reminded today as I was glancing down towards Lake Lanier Islands. Not sure if it was engine trouble or a medical emergency but the poor fellow clipped some trees right before an attempted emergency landing and it ended badly. Condolences to the family for their loss.
Saw a couple of things recently that are a reminder of why wave sailing is a much tougher sell here in the SE US.
First, the longer period swells in a lot of places like Hawaii and Australia make it so much easier since there is so much space between the waves and the water between is cleaner. This video is a nice example (but the music is a bit frenetic)
Please post if you can join me tomorrow at Van Pugh. It looks like a nice, sunny, windy day, not as cold, with low traffic.
FYI, the lake is up almost three feet from a week ago. There may be a lot of stuff floating in the water judging from what my cove looked like today. With more rain forecast for tomorrow, expect more rises. Latest level is 1067.25; full (summer) pool is 1071.
Hey guys, are you stuck on sports TV, hibernating till spring, or gasp, catching up on work? With sun in the rigging area, today's session was not really that cold. The wind has been great. The three lonely amigos are looking for more sailing buddies to show up during winter - the windiest season of the year.
Interesting for weather geeks

If there is going to be company, I intend to be at VP around noon for a couple hrs.
FX calling wind tapering off after 3 ish
Yeah, chilly 🤣
