Trey, Chris P, Barrett, Chris V and I sailed, sail sizes 5.8 (Trey the animal) to 4.5 (me the wimp.) I did sail my 5.2 also. It WAS WINDY, at times VERY WINDY, and FUN!
Life is rockin when you get in 2 4.7 sessions per day on back-to-back days in January without hood or gloves. Serious ibuprophen action . . .
We had a big crowd for Hilton Head - 3 windsurfers (2 over 60). One kiter came out for the noon session, checked the conditions and headed back over the dunes, but I can't say I blame him.
There were a couple of people in a tandem Blow-Cart - a beach tricycle with a windsurfer-type sail. Scary fast machine. They clocked 37 mph as their top speed.
Glad there was wind and warmth in the homeland . . .
Thursday was Another Great Day. Not as windy as Wednesday but Windy with gust into the 30s. And it was Sunny. We had a decent crowd, with Alan S, Jim C, Barrett, Marcel, David W and me. Sail sizes were 6.5 to 5.0. Unlike Tim at HHI, we did wear hoods and gloves. We also had one Kiter, Mark W.
I missed it but Marcel's 6.0 Ezzy Wave got away from him on the beach, went flying thru the air and hit a pine tree about 15 feet up. No damage done, those Ezzys are TUFF.
AHD 107 liter with bag for $275 is now available. This is also a FAST board, at least with Trey riding it.
Also now available at WindSense, used Neil Pryde Series 3000, 5/3 Wetsuit, size 52 L, good condition WITH Neil Pryde hooded vest, Size 52 L, for $75. This is my suit which I have used on some VERY cold days at Lanier. I'm 5'10", 160 pounds, but my weight has ranged from 150 to 170, so it should fit anyone around that size.
Also, everyone please note, Consignemnt prices are NOT negotiable. The seller sets the price, and if it is not reasonable, I will not accept the item. Most items are very good deals. Part of the advantage of selling your item through WindSense is you do not have to haggle.
I'm in.

Looks like the guy is using an F2 Maui Project, just like the one I got at Windsense. Guess I can't use my equipment as an excuse anymore...

I wouldn't be so sure. Could be he's got a better mast. Sometimes even a fin can be all the difference in the world.
