I had a nice sesh at Kelly Park this p.m. 6.5, planing ~80%. 29.5 on the GPS in lumpy water. Water here is 70ΒΊ, w/air cool enough for a shorty. (Gene, Big Al's shorty fits okay so I owe ya, but the E.R docs here want to talk to him... I got some kind of wicked rash... something about necrotizing fasciitis). Wish me luck!
I plan to sail today, and maybe Friday. I'm glad to hear Barrett will be back on the water.
Also, we can start the MARCH WindSense Winter Speed Challenge. Same rules as before. To set the starting speed to beat, I'll make the GPS available today and the first speed recorded over 27 mph will become the starting point. Then for the rest of March, the challenge is on. Today is a good day to start as Chris V is out of town and East wind means flat water.
Van Pugh, 9:55 am, plenty of caps, straight out of the east, little cool but some sun. I'd probably rig my 6.0. I plan on sailing at VAN PUGH starting around 11:00.
I sailed Vanns. Arrived late, around 11. Rigged 6.5 which was good for about 20 min and then it shut off. Thinking it was done for the day, I bobbed around for a while but it picked back up and, had I the smarts to have gone in and rigged a 7 something, it would have been a great day. Instead, did the 50-50 until I had to go back and get stuff done.
Looks like a morning event.
Glad to hear your ankle is getting better. Good thing you didn't go to a vet for your injury.

Beautiful day though.
