Now that you said Sunrise Cove, my interest is piqued for tomorrow. The forecast shows a lot of SW; it's challenging to get a small board out of Van Pugh if the wind line is that far out. There's actually a good fetch on the SW at SC so it'll be interesting if the wind holds up to the models, what the swell will be like. I've sailed there a lot but not in anything above 20.
I'm hoping to make it tomorrow (Thurs,) and Sunrise Cove sounds like fun, maybe around 2:00. I'll bring Bill's new sail although his 2012 Ezzy 7.5 Cheetah (replaces the Freeride) may be alittle big.
Bill,
thanks for taking one for the team. around 4 pm, the cloud line went through and the wind kicked in. Fun 6.5 for about a half hour and then it started to get serious. Gene was cool enough to keep me company but I figured that when it was getting solid 5.0 conditions, dark and alone on the water, not a good time to be still carrying the 6.4. After I got off the water, it really cranked. Shame the front didn't kick through a couple of hours earlier.
As usual my timing was impeccably bad. My "A.D.D" kicked in about 4pm so I took the exit .... by the time I got home 20 mins later the wind was smokin.
Gene/Jim you sailin today? Looks a bit cold for wet suits.
Let me know ... With Saturday looking like a Cheetah 7.5 day I'm on the fence. 40-42 degrees slipping into the high 30's is about my max ... looking like high of mid 30's.

Sat and Sunday look like preferable alternatives. Not to mention, getting something done today.
It's supposed to be a toasty warm 35 by 2:00, so I am heading to the lake.
