A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM EST
Thursday for north and parts of central Georgia.
A cold front will move across north and central Georgia early on
Thursday. Strong winds will increase behind this front for Thursday
afternoon. Winds of 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph can be expected
for some areas... especially over north Georgia.
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph or
wind gusts of at least 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles.
Use extra caution.

Sounds like a good one, they even raised the temp to 54. I'm shooting for noon.
12:15 and it's starting to blow, right on schedule. And it warm right now, 50 degrees, supposed to get colder and windier thru the afternoon. I'll be at Van Pugh around1:00.

Gene, I thought you gave up your VP parking pass? I think the only spots left are going to be around the restrooms/kiddy playground.
Very WILD Day! Sail sizes from 5.2 (me) to 4.5. Good crowd for a weekday. Alot of fun, and not too cold.

great day, I only broke 1 harness line. the only down side...it took me almost 3 hours to get home
Dear Gene,
My hats off to you buddy. Thanks again for letting me drive your car to replace the 2 (yes 2) brand new tires that I basically ripped off the rims. For all who read this, I pulled in to Van Pugh with such excitement and not sailing in nearly 8 months (even skunked in Hattears) that I failed to pay attention and hit the curb in the parking lot and blew 2 tires immediately. I had a spare, but only one. Gene was kind enough (we all know this already) to lend me his car to get the tires repaced.........
Not too many places in Gainsville have a 205 50 R17 tire, and the leaste expensive one was $228 each. I was trapped, stuck and out of luck. I could not even buy a cheap spare to get me home.
Make a long story short, the one day, I mean the one true day that those of you who know me, could sail my 69 liter Mistral, I pull in and blow two tires and spend $500 bucks....
It took longer than I expected Gene, but I truly mean thank you. I owe you one. See you the next windy day and I will avoid the curb at all cost.
Thanks Bud, Trey

Trey we all felt really bad for you buddy. That would definitely qualify for the worst day at the lake. We are all lucky to have a friend like Gene though!
No big deal, I didnt need the car for a few hours, I was sailing on a 5.2 on the WILD board!!!
Gene
PS - Good deeds, pass them on times two.

Trey -- I think your ticking off the wind gods carrying around that ridiculously small board. Its time to burn that thing!
