Let's add one more spot: Lake Oconee
I am going to see if I can find a place to sail on Sunday at Oconee.
The GPS is getting new batteries to be ready for the 30 mph challenge, at least I will know how much faster I still need to go. It was fun to see the Anders Bringdal do 50 knots (Vmax) see below. Have fun on Lanier, wherever you guys end up going. http://youtu.be/4Dr45ccYMMc
Looks like 'em boys at Shell Point will be LIT UP:
This Afternoon: Isolated sprinkles before 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Breezy, with a west wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
Unfortunately the wind did not pick up as predicted. Oconee got a breeze at about 4 and it was not enough to get sailing before sunset.
The old salem And parks ferry lake access parks were closed. It will mostly have to be private access to get on the lake.
It does not sound that anyone on Lanier had much luck either.
I will try again this weekend to get on the water.

I'd hate to miss that first curve.
Let us know if you find a good place on Oconee. It's a mystery lake for many of us here.
I'll probably head to Van Pugh this afternoon, or maybe earlier.

Looks like it may have to be this afternoon. Bill A and I stood around from 10-11, nothing. Hopefully it'll come up this afternoon.
Report from Randy, it died on him at Tidwell also.
