The are no bragging rights with this accident. Two weeks ago we had freezing rain. The next morning I was up early for a meeting and checked the thermometer. It had warmed up overnight to 35F. I carefully walked out the door, but slipped on a clear patch of ice as I reached for the newspaper. I slid down our driveway and fell hard. There were so many ice-related accidents, it took two days to get a cast on my broken ankle.
We've rescheduled our windsurfing trip to Cape San Blas to Feb. 12-19.
Good day, Sunday. Not so cold, a decent crowd, and Lots of WIND. Sail sizes were in the 6.5 to 5.0 range, I sailed my 5.2 mainly and my new 2011 Ezzy 6.0 Infinity at the end, sweet. Like I said, we had Lots of Wind!
Melinda,
Windsurfing is a great sport, easy to pick up the basics and the learning curve goes on forever, just ask some of the old timers. WindSense, Atlanta's windsurfing shop does offer lessons, but not until Spring. Visit WindSense's web page for more info - http://www.windsensewindsurfing.com/
If you have some more company, I'll come and take photos (recovering from broken ankle).

I'm there... Looks like a good day. What's the ETA?

Barrett - Hope the ankle heals quickly. What happened?
May your water be smooth and your winds be swift.

Bill, Looks like wind, sun and temp converge at ~2. I'm thinking VP at 1-ish.

I just found this club on the web and have been interested in learning how for some time. Where do you go to windsurf on the lake? Melinda
I'm in, after lunch, Van Pugh.
