Sunday was a good day for sure, but cold (38) and the wind strong but a bit erratic (13-28 reported during the time we were sailing.) I was amazed that so many guys were on big (7.5-8.0) sails while I was on my 5.2. Chris was on 5.8. Perhaps some of you guys should think about dropping off the steriods and weight machines and instead learn how to get planning without such monster sized sails. I'll be glad to give you some tips or do a clinic if you would like.

Alan Sloman, Joe O, Bill A and I sailed today (Monday.) As forecasted, it was a little windier and colder. We followed Randy's advice and didnt rig the big sails, with everyone ending up in the 6.5-5.4 range. My 6.0 was kind of big at the end, and I'm sure my 5.2 would have worked but it was too cold to re-rig. The wind direction didnt move around as much today, and the chop while bigger was better organized. The temperature topped out around 38 degrees and went down from there, when derigging there was some ice on the sails in the shade. Anyway, good day.
I'll be there today early afternoon. Bill a
Planing to go today around 1pm, Marcel

A very few of us are talking about maybe sailing today (Monday) around lunch time. It's supposed to be a little Windier (and colder,)than yesterday.
Post or give me a call if you're interested.
Yesterday was wild, lots of crazy wind and all mixed up chop. It was fun, and tiring.
