Saturday's forecast looks promising. With wind from the WSW I propose meeting at Old Federal, just up the road from Van Pugh. Gene & I sailed the site with kiters on a SW wind and there was no wind shadow.
How about meeting at Old Federal ?
Directions: Head North on Mcever Road past Van Pugh, then turn left on Jim Crow Road. Jim Crow merges into Old Federal Road at a Y intersection. follow Old Federal Road to the end at Old Federal Park. Bear left in the Park and look for a parking area with access to the SW wind.

I am planning to go. I like Old Fed except there are almost no ramps. I may go to LLSC. W to SW be good there. Chop is much better there, but it's often confused... not that there's anything wrong with that.
I plan on sailing Old Federal after lunch.

We'll have to watch the current conditions & forecast. NWS predicts West at 15-22, while Weather.com calls for WSW at 10-20. I'll call to decide between Van Pugh and Old Federal and then post.

Today's weather is dissapointing, but tomorrow is looking much better, so I'm planning on going to Van Pugh Sunday afternoon.

Suns trying to come out, tempt is 40 degrees, and the wind is not much, didnt see any caps, but could be because it has so much south in it. Anyway, I expect it to crank up any minute now, (because eveyone's decided to wait until tomorow.)
