Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues

Looks like it's going to be a good bit warmer and some wind for the next few days. Today, Saturday, 2/12, Pat P is already at Van Pugh running the big stuff but said it looked like it may be getting better. A few other sailors have called and are on their way. And a few sailors have indicated they're probably be sailing the next few days also. So.... I guess I'd head down to Van Pugh in a while and check it out. There may be a problem with the direction where it may have a tad too much south in it, in which case I may head to Old Federal, but probably Van Pugh will be the call.

I hope it blows and everybody comes on out.

David,

What kind of beer do you drink?

The WindSense Winter Speed Challenge is on, Monday may be the day that records will fall.

Some of us did sail Saturday, with sail sizes from 9.5 to 5.2. That is not a typo, early it was fairly light wind but a nice day. It did build during the day and it did have some south in it, it was one of those days, but kind of fun. I finally rigged late in the day and sailed my 7.5 for about an hour.

Today Sunday looks kind of like more of the same, and I do hope maybe to sail this afternoon. I also hope to sail Monday which might be the better day.

The GPS will be availabe for anyone who wants to Smash the current World Windsurfing Speed record of 29.7 mph*.

*The Fastest recorded speed in the World on a windsurfer at Lake Lanier since 2/05/11, that I know of.
