forecast models have perked up and intellicast graphic map is suggesting central GA (West Point anyone?) and the GA coast are in the better spots.
Having written this is sure to kill it though.

Figures. I'm working at a house on Lake Oconee with a perfect SE exposure and a boss who also windsurfs (Kelli B), and we should wrap up early tomorrow... and no board.
You can borrow my board but you have to come and get it. LOL!

Maybe Vann's Tavern this afternoon?

I'll try to be at Vann's, too, fam obligations permitting.
CV, has the front page taught you nothing?

of course, what are the chances of it
a) being windy (one day out of five)
b) in June (maybe 4 decent days in the average June)
c) from the SE (one day of 25 windy days as it's an unusual direction for us, usually seen in tropical systems)
Off the cuff, I'd say .20 x .13 x .04 = 0.00107
basically a 0.1% chance.
bummer
There is a corrective algorithm based on necessity of being away from the water, distance from your equipment, etc but I've not quantified it lately. e.g., visiting in-laws in fall or spring at the beach without your gear makes the chances of wind close to 100%

A man with too much time on his hands
SE wind is fickle, especially mid-day when the sun is strong, so if it blows I think I'll head to Van Pugh late in the afternoon. Of course this plan is subject to revision based on actual conditions.

I may also give Vann's a try later in the afternoon.

I might try Old 41 at Allatoona... Bill H.

Had a relaxing time at VT this afternoon. Big board, big sail. Shorts stints of planing. Throughout the afternoon.
Tomorrow fc looks a little better.
