Yesterday we flew from Atlanta to San francisco to visit our daughter & her husband. My wife and I left early in case there was wind when we arrived. SFO airport is built out into the Bay. On final approach I saw whitecaps below, so as soon as we landed I called BoardSports at Coyote Point Park to rent gear. The shop is only a few miles south of the airport. Talk about great service, they had an 85 liter Quatro wave board & 5.5m sail waiting for me when we arrived in our rental van.

Conditions were awesome. A 25 mph NW, side-on-shore wind & outgoing tide created great rollers for carving & jumping. BoarsSports has rental gear right on the water. The afternoon rental including wetsuit, harness & helmet cost $80. If you're looking for summer wind, this is a happening place.
