Alain & I windsurfed at Presque Isle on Lake Erie over the weekend. With a WNW wind, we launched on the Lake side of the peninsula, rather than the Bay side. The Lake has waves and sandy beaches, whereas the Bay has mostly flat water.

There is windsurfing community of about a dozen dedicated windsurfing guys and one kite-surfing girl. The Lake still retained summer heat with a water temperature of 68F, despite cooler breezes. I was there moving my Dad into senior living and left a board & sail behind in case it blows when I next return.
