Re: Mid Winters in Cocoa Beach

I may go, the Mid-Winters are fun to watch and hang out at. I'm definitely not going to race, but to hopefully kite and windsurf some.

I went ahead and made camping reservations at Manatee Hammock campground for 5 days arriving on Thursday, 3/1 and leaving on Tuesday, 3/06. Alot of people camp at Jetty Park Campground which is closer to the event site, but I prefer Manatee Hammock which about halfway between Titusville and Cocoa Beach, and about half way between the two kiting spots I know. I'm still not sure I'm going but the campsites are close to full and they only charge you $20 if you decide to cancel (greater than 72 hours.) Their number is 321-264-5083,and their webpage is

Anyway, should be fun. ROADTRIP anyone?

Re: Mid Winters in Cocoa Beach

I am planning on staying at Manatee Hammock during the regatta. It's really nice and I much prefer this to Jetty Park. A "woman" got in a fight with me the last time I stayed at Jetty Park. It was not a pretty sight.
