Merritt Is for Fri. and Sat

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 62. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. North northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Colder but windy.

Does anyone know the water temp down there.

In talking to Wright Finney about places to sail in the panhandle, he said "I should warn you, the water temp is 68º..."

Also, those are offshore. I bet the river (like at Kelly Park) is considerably warmer, esp after a sunny day or two.

We are now planning on driving from Atlanta Thursday AM and sailing at Merritt Island on Friday. Depending on the weather, we will then head to South Florida.
