Massive Winds at Lake Lanier today

I sailed out of Tidwell from about 1-2:30. The wind was not quite as gusty as reported, though.

So..., did you rig a 9.0 for the lulls or a 3.5 meter sail for the gusts?

I never actually saw the gusts, so it was more of a longboarding type day. Used 6.4 but it would have probably taken an 8.5 to get planning regularly.
