Tim,

Most people just take a mountain board and put a u-joint on it. One of the better ones is Terraboard. Mongoose is also a popular brand. Used to be you could get mountain boards from REI. For sailing on ocean beach, however, you would want thinner tires. Might try just googling mountain board or landsailor.

Call Jeff at Kitemare...727-565-2140...very helpful...check out http://www.kitemare.com

He'll set you up with a MBS board that rides low to the beach/land. I just put 3" wide slicks on mine. I have an Earthboard I bought on ebay, which uses a true skate truck..Most mountianboards have more of a downhill/mountianboard truck. I'm going sailing right now...Call me if you need any help, I landsail more than anything this time of year. I think I went 200 days last year! Randy has seen my board when it had primo rebel (nobby) tires on it. Are you using a rig or kite?? I use a 4.7, 6 and 7 meter rig to cover 7-15+

Thanks, John. I'll contact Jeff. I'll be using it for both kite and w/s rig. You fulltime in St Simons? I need to come down the coast and sail with you folks sometime. I hear things are good just beyond the sandbar . . .
