Hookipa in trouble?

It took me two reads to understand what exactly is going on, but it appears that surfers have to legal ability to keep windsurfers out of the water at Hookipa!

You'll need to read past the first part about the lifeguard to see what is happening:

Hookipa is such a concentrated place (only about 200 yards wide where the waves line up) that I'm surprised these problems have not gotten out of hand before.

I will not comment about who was right and who was wrong from four thousand miles away, but it does seem that the punishment was extremely harsh. Even for careless driving one does not have his car taken away.

We need to retaliate. Lets kick all the surfers out of Lake Lanier and Lake Allatoona.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

I can't believe they would confiscate the gear of two tourists. What a-holes!

Anyway, I agree with Randy. Maybe we could also make our own 10 windsurfer rule (well, better make 5) -- 5 windsurfers on the water, all jet-skis must leave the water!
