The forecast is looking pretty favorable and the weather's nice - I'm thinking of sailing Friday, camping and sailing Friday night, & sailing Saturday. Julliette would be nice if the campground is open - does anybody know if that's the case? Any interest? Chris P. 404-525-7190. Also if there were a decent wind forecast, I'd go to San Blas this coming week for a 2-4 day trip.

cape san blas might be interesting.
CSB is interesting to me also. I assume the (weekend) NW f'cast is not good as it would try to kill any seabreeze, right?
yes the juliette campground is open 1-478-994-7945
I don't know what kind of sea breeze we might expect, but it's looking pretty light through Monday.
I just thought I would mention that the Steven C Smith is this weekend. Hey there is camping and windsurfing? Just a thought.
Thanks Colin. Excellent idea (good cause too- the Steven C. Smith Regatta is a benefit for the Leukemia Society). Just spoke to Dan Burch & he's going to Shell Pt. I might also. F'cast now looks a little better for Saturday.
If you like WSing, the beach, drinking beer to cure disease and checking out the latest ink-on-skin fashion trends, Shell Point is the place. I may go on to CSB to check it out also.
Shell Pt website is:

Well, you guys are doing this at the last minute. The Regatta starts today.
Is anyone going or should I go riding dirt bikes again?
Forecast is 5 - 15
I am ready for a CSB trip or Shell point would be ok too.
Hey David, The regatta actually does not start until Sat. The only thing you might miss on Friday night is some beer drinking and some of the local Wakulla county people. That can be a sight to say the least.
So who is going?
I plan to leave Sat am in time to race at Shell Pt. I may linger into Monday to check out some family reunion houses on St George's and check out CSB if time allows. Wind looks marginal, but I'll have big stuff wit me. Cellulite # 404-386-8505. (reception can be spotty down there).
We had a nice seabreeze on Saturday for racing. We had to start too early on Sunday to get the same and they called a long distance race... that was kind of like work, but Sat. was big fun. When the seabreeze came in people were mostly on 6.5s fully powered. On Saturday we did 4 kinda short course races and a LD race. Dan Burch & I ended up exactly tied for first after the 6 races. Since he won the last race, he got the trophy. (He also won the party as I heard he was last seen leaving the beer truck at 4 a.m. to go sample some Tequilas -- and he STILL beat me on Sunday. You da man, Dan).
