Easterlies - Tuesday/Wednesday?

If you're only following the NWS hourly graph, you might miss it, but some models are calling for double digit windspeeds Tuesday pm and Wednesday am. I am watching it closely, thinking about going to Vann's Tavern. ChrisP.

Since the wind altar has gone missing, the best I can do is cross my fingers and hope it blows. If the wind is from the ENE, as forecast by the NWS, I'll head to Van Pugh. With a NE wind there is no wind shadow at Van Pugh.

Almost Live Report from WINDSENSE (and Randy.)

Per Randy at Tidwell at 8:30, we have caps! I'm planning on sailing Van Pugh, heading out this morning, hopefully 9:30 or 10.

It's September, let the fall season begin!

2009/2010 Season Officially Started

The 2009-2010 season has officially been launched. I sailed Tidwell 2 hours on 6.0 solid whitecaps, best day in ages!! 9-11. Was still blowing when I packed it in. Let the new year begin!! Biggrin

Gene & I had a great time sailing at Van Pugh 10:30AM to 2PM. I rigged my 8.3 m and Gene his 7.5. The water was 79F, but we put on our shorty wet suits with cloudy skies and a 66F air temp. Hope it blows tomorrow morning.
