Quick report - Got lucky, drove down to St. Pete on Monday, kited at the Skyway Bridge Causeway on Tues & Wed, 15-20. Looks like that's it for the week, driving back on Sunday.
Glad to hear you got wind. While you were in St. Pete, Peg & I were in the 1,000 Islands bordering Canada. Every day was breezy and in the 60's. Since we flew up, I had no windsurfing gear. However, I did get to sail a Laser sailboat with a planing hull. With a speed of 12 mph on a broad reach, it was fun, but there was no adrenalin rush to compare with wind or kite surfing.
