What they don't say about eFoils

Yes, they are fun. Ouch, they can be pricey. But, something that a lot of proponents fail to mention is the weight. Well, if you are already $12k in, no reason not to drop almost a grand to get the thing to the beach

That is where Foil Drive comes out far ahead of efoils. It adds about 8 pounds to the weight of your foil and board. So it probably comes in well under 40 (and maybe under 30 for smaller boards and lighter foils). The new FD is about 10 pounds. The weight of e-foils was one of the things that turned me off to them. What you lose is top end speeds and duration. With 2 batteries I can probably stay on the foil for about an hour, though. If used with a wing, the the ride duration would be much longer and probably faster than an e-foil for accomplished wingers. I typically use only half the charge when using it with a wing or sail.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.

Agree with you on the Foil Drive. Was thinking I should put in a disclaimer but I was already getting wordy.
