You’ve read about sargassum weed plaguing East Florida beaches. Unfortunately it’s been increasing year by year and is now getting in the way of windsurfing. We’re in beautiful Bonaire, considered by many to be a windsurfing paradise. All this came ashore overnight in Bonaire. Sorobon, where we’re staying, trucks it away & buries it, or we’d have an outbreak of flies. It’s raising the cost of staying here. Caused by deforestation in Amazon, nutrient enrichment, & warmer water.
