Anytime is from the east, I start getting really interested, as it seems easterlies tend to overperform more than underperform (as normally happens with anything with south in it.)
Sat could possibly work if there are holes between the t-storms.

Randy, Al and I sailed Tidwell from 10-1:30. All on 7.5ish sails. Started out light but about noon it was cranking and my decision to go about a mile upwind on the formula board wasn't looking too clever. Fortunately, I could duck behind some islands and turn it way off the wind. Hope the wind was good at VP - must have been in the high teens to 20 by the time we came off the water. We were all pretty shattered.
Its HiFly Matrix -the twinser- used to be Mimi's so you may have seen it at Galts. I use it when it gets too windy for anything else, and in such cases (as happened late yesterday) it stays on the water, really well. Ironically, this ends up making it my fastest board much of the time. (My "faster boards" are usually flying all over the place when the wind picks up.) Saves a lot of rigging down for a smaller sail. It may be a low performance board but then, I'm a low performance sailor..... (I also like it for the cold weather months when I'm sailing alone. Notice the rescue paddle. Pretty well bomb proof, I mean Randy Resistent.)

I hope so.

I'm eager to sail at Van Pugh if there is wind today. I'll be looking for some wind in the trees after the fog lifts.

A fun day for sure.

Conditions not as good later in the day at Van Pugh... All sailing 7.5 ...there were some nice gusts but a bit of slogging.
Gene, Jim, Steph, Pat, Bill ( or in other words the 'A' Team) sailed till about 4 pm.
Gene clocked top speed of 28.7 mph ...
No Gps for Pat but he hit some good top end speeds.
