Not a bad day but big disconnect between Gilmer readings and wind on the water. While there were occasionally some decent puffs, there were long periods between them.
Took at my new to me JP 135 with a NP Glide Wind 1700 wing and a 5.4. Very interesting experience being on a big wing like that. It absolutely gets off the water in pretty much nothing but then doesn't go much faster. Also, using a small camless freeride is suboptimal in light wind because the apparent wind is so far forward and light. Cams would have been much better or a camless with some shape. The short fuse is more yo-yo-ey than my other foils but I think it needs a stab shim. I'll try that next time. I'm trying to get the gear tuned up for Jr. to give it a go.
Hamdi and Barrett were there before me. Langdon came later and I saw Mike heading home from, I guess, Aqualand.
Maybe 2nd shift
Jon and I had a fun but shifty, gusty day on Juliette. Water temp is perfect but lots of weeds in the water.
