We had some good luck trolling for the gusts at noontime. Actually on plane more than not with a 7.5 150L board. Big Jim and I were the only ones at Van Pugh. Anybody else out elsewhere? Time to crank up the Wind Altar and get ready for the Fall Regatta! Who is heading for Hatteras?

I was probably already off the water by the time you got to the lake. Barrett's headed to NC soon. Will be interesting how NC 12 holds up this next week.
I actually got to Van Pugh about 10:30. The wind looked uncertain, and rain was forecast. Knowing the cost of going in the water (lake nose), I finally decided to derig. Then Shred Dog showed up and was enthusiastic about sailing, so I rerigged my board and went out. It was a worthwhile session.
If anybody sees Bil Austin, tell him that the Lake Nose toxin/allergen/infectious agent is still there. Maybe it will go away when the lake turnover is well underway (it has started, but won't be complete until around Christmas).
