I plan on sailing, but not sure when. The temp may only vary a few degrees throughout the day, there's not much difference between 38 and 40. We may not need to wait on it to warm up, just wait on the wind.
I think there may be some new speed records set tomorrow.
My gloves suck too much to go tomorrow. Yeah, I should get a new pair but between that and a weed fin for Hatteras. Let me think... uh, weed fin gets it.
Yes it looks like the wind will come up. There is even a wind advisory from 1 PM which is exciting. The part that is creating discomfort is the predicted chance for rain and snow. I am not yet using the excuse of the need for gloves, however will keep an eye on the wind and temps to see if I will go to sail (to go may be a new level of craziness).
Stephan, didn't we have a chat back when it was warm how one ends up sailing in the dead of winter? I think you've succumbed to that slide towards the abyss.

The Big Blow brought out a good group of hearty windsurfers. I was joined by Joe, Chris P., Chris V., Gene, Rhett, Ishimoura & Bill. Sail sizes ranged from 5.2 to 4.5 meters. Conditions were great except for the cold. It dropped from 42F down to 35F while were were on the water.
William, well yes, I am not certain how it happened. I would like to think it is just commitment. would have been annoyed if I didn't go since the opportunity was there with such strong wind. The best was the group of fellow sailors, that made it a good session.
Like Gene says you are working so hard you dont feel just how cold it is until you stop. I am looking forward to be sailing in a spring suit.
