It turned out to be a mighty fine foiling afternoon. Howard windsurfed, but not quite enough to plane with a 7.5m sail. JB winged & Wm., Channey & I wind foiled.
There were few boats & the water was very clear & warm at 82F.

Gene, Chris P. and I were at Old Fed. They windfoiled (6.7 and 5.7) while I used a 4.5 Wing. I started a bit too early (2pm), but managed to cheatfoil (Foil Drive as efoil with the wing taking some of the load off the battery) but as the wind picked up was able to mostly use the FD to assist in the takeoff and ride solely under wing power. After 90 minutes I still had half my charge left. Later when the wind dropped I cheatfoiled with my 3.2 m inflatable sail because - why not?
Two kiters also present (Dave D. and idk.) Kiters will be happy to know the landbridge to the island is nearly completely resurfaced.

Looking like frontal action for Friday and Saturday too... but a long way off to trust that now.
Back in town. Hope to go.

8.0 at best but I'm optimistic. Gonna grab a bite to eat. Lovely day. Much worse places to spend an afternoon
