Anders Bringdal first to break 50kn barrier on windsurfer, Antoine Albeau minutes later even faster 50.59kn
Well, that sucks. They've chasing 50 for years, Anders finally breaks it and gets pipped by 1/2 knot in just minutes. Maybe it was like the mental barrier of the 4 minute mile.

Fantastic! Congrats to them both for braking 50 kn!
Luderitz is one windy place.

See, no trees...
I suppose the we have to step up the speed sailing efforts here. Gene was contemplating a comp for getting more folks involved in the speed contest. Perhaps a first to break 30 mph (excluding the folks that did that already this year).
Now if we only had flat water spot with a good broad reach alignment. CV posted about a spot he uses, I dont think it is working this year since the lake is a bit higher than last year.
The question is will the corps allow anyone to mess with the Lanier shoreline and dig a trench as they do for Luderitz?

Sailrocket hits 61.92 max (71+ mph) and 5 seconds at 59.08. Lulls on course brought 500m avg down
