We're back - and more

I shall return

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

- Chumbawamba: Tubthumping (go ahead, click the link and relive the '90s)

I've finally completed the transition away from our old web hosting service. The site was flaky today as I sorted a myriad of DNS issues. Don't know what DNS is? Apparently, I don't know much more than you but enough to be dangerous to the safety of the intertubes. Of course, that it took way too long for a significant issue to be sorted out was a major factor in the move but the site seems to load much faster now, as well.

I wish to thank the Atlanta windsurfing community for your patience these last couple of weeks. Everyone's good nature and understanding made this a much easier process.

Everything seems to be working properly including esoteric stuff like being automatically logged into our wiki when you are ready to add or edit stuff there. Please email me if you have any problems or find anything not running properly. Because we are back to running from a "domain name" rather than a numerical address, you will have to log in. If you get stuck in the "I logged in but it says I'm logged out" loop, simply bomb your old cookies from the temp site by going here.

Windsurf all summer here?

I'm intrigued by this video from continentseven.com: Double Flaka (Tow-In). The tow-in part confused me until I saw the video and realized, "Holy cow, we can do that all summer here!".

Hit it!

Most people don't get it

The original album liner notes say:
'"Tubthumping" is Shouting to Change The World (then having a drink to celebrate). It's stumbling home from your local bar, when the world is ready to be put right...'

And, they quote Baudelaire: "It is essential to be drunk all the time. That's all: there's no other problem. If you do not want to feel the appalling weight of Time which breaks your shoulders and bends you to the ground, get drunk, and drunk again. What with? Wine, poetry, or being good, please yourself. But get drunk... If you do not want to be the martyred slaves of Time, get drunk, always get drunk! With wine, with poetry or with being good. As you please."

Pissing the night away

He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink

Yeah, the "But I get up again" part starts to get important after the fourth drink.

Work on your French

or "France is fun, even without crêpes". We endeavour to educate here at windsurfatlanta.org whether it's refining your Swedish fluency or indulging you with exposure to other languages. Here's a cute video in French with English subtitles so you can read along via Continentseven.com. However, the French isn't what you learned in school and the English is definitely NSFW. But it's humorous and leads to some nice wave action in what looks like North Africa - unless they have camels in Marseille,
