It is interesting to note that NOAA and Iwindsurf both show more wind at toona today. If one isn't a Vanpuzi Galts might be the better call. Either way, parking and boat traffic will be main issue. I'm sorta thinking of making my annual trek to Lake Acworth.

B*gger? Shok Saw the models late last night and rushed an emergency repair on foil. NW should be good at Old Fed, LLSC, etc unless we get lucky and the weather has chased the cars from VP. Boats? Not a problem.

Now I'm seeing green on the radar screen that it closer to the lake(s) than my house is to the lake(s)....So it will get there before I do. Light green by itself isn't so bad, but sometimes it just kills the wind. Other times it ushers in the wind.....Pretty sure it will at least get rid of the civilians and clear out the parking lots.

I'm afraid this is the b word the weatherman was using.

So did anybody go? I went out and flew one of my traction kites. Wind never picked up till after 4. Rain never happened.

Two foils around 4ish and Ed who got there later. Foils had a blast even though we only saw a handful of whitecaps all day. Chris and his 8.0 is the new light air King of the HIll. I was on a Hot Sails Maui camless slalom 7.4 and he was off the water in almost nothing. Ed sailed an 8.5.

Gene came by in the dune buggy.

Freeformula 157. 258 x 85. My mast/fin has a very deep tuttle head and, although I'd planned on using the Jr, it would only fit the FF or Formula. Mast is off to Miami this week for some rehab and upgrades so I'll be out of commission for a while. I was worried that the FF wouldn't hold up well but it's been fine and being the woody version is light.

Doesn't look like you will be missing much. This is the time of year wind forecasting replaces Economics as the Dismal Science.
