Dodge boat can be fun. If you have enough wind to move well (5-10 works) you can have a lot of fun riding up and down the boat swells and crazy chop. I might try it myself tomorrow. A great place for that is near VP, past the tip of the 3 sisters. There are shallow areas there that build up a lot of wave/chop height. (They may no longer be submerged, though.)
For Old Fed - if you get past the islands the channel has lots of chop and depending on direction can be windier up there. A fun place, but the boats do roar through there. Sometimes you will see jetskis jumping wakes of big power boats - kind of like fleas jumping around on a dog.

One of my friends is going to try windsurfing tomorrow with the possibility of two more also wanting to try.
*** if the storms hold off and they can find a place to park at Old Fed they will try
Usually Old Fed parking is easier to find than VP this time of year.

Very good day. Sailed from 10:30 till after 7 with ChrisPy joining me after the storm*
Good day for my friend and her nieces to try windsurfing. One of her nieces ( approx. 12 years old ) did great with the 2.8m training sail.
* 35 mph gusts with the 7.5m Lion is rather interesting. I did not know that sailboards catch on fire like that
That's funny. I didn't see any thunderstorms or 35 MPH winds. More like 4-8. Was quite pleasant and I have the video to prove it.

Came from the Northwest, lasted about 7 -10 mins
Wow - that was a spike. Good thing the day started out so gloomy looking - kept most of the riff raff and their boats off the water.
