Just FYI - check the radar screen before you drive a long ways. If you call Gilmer wait till the end of the message to see if they say something like "Thunder distant (some direction.)" You might also check the radar screen on your cell phone before going out if it looks nasty. Just sayin.
Edit - looks like the rain/tstorms are now arriving later in the day (after 5) but it is probably still worth checking.

+1 what Randy said. Keep in mind many weather apps' radar image is delayed 10-20 minutes. Also, if you hear thunder and you are still on the water, you are "behind schedule". You don't want to be on the water when the fun starts. Source: Was on the water once when the fun started.
Bruno, Langdon, Chris P, Tim and myself. Wind was pretty steady at 6-10. Not quite enough to foil and would have been a push on big formula gear. Everyone enjoyed it all the same.
