I used to do that on no wind days (w/o the ws board on top of my skate board) in a parking lot on the KSU campus and other places. Gravity is providing the propulsion, not wind (which you can see by looking at the buildings upwind of his sail and due to the fact he's only going in one direction). The sail actually produces some power which you can lean against and you can brake by sheeting out the sail. When you get to the bottom of the hill you can practice jibes. Easier than actually skateboarding. Sadly peelskid may still be on the injured list recovering from his shoulder surgery.

I'm worried that Ed, who's Latvian, will try to outdo his Lithuanian neighbors and windsurf down from the top of Kennesaw Mtn.

And you guys thought I was plum crazy for coming up with an idea like that.
So imagine, not just windsurfing down the hill but having millions of spectators cheer you on. How much better can it get? Oh, and did I mention that he would be wearing a Bettlejuice costume?
