headed now. GA 400 is too horrible to contemplate a west side session in the afternoon. Tidwell or Vanns would be much more fun but I'd never get home.
400 usually gets backed up by 3 and now that roadwork is being done even earlier. At 730 thia morning it was fine. Disappointed again today despite going 8.2. Perhaps I was too early though. Sailed at Tidwell.

What happens in a black hole stays in a black hole.
It was a good afternoon for me at Van Pugh.
Feeling more in control and less overpowered by gusts.
Learned that there is a dead spot east of the little island straight out from the launch with the winds that we had today.
I should have followed William's heading more, he was a lot faster than me
Many fast runs but still no foot strap action yet...
VP report. Langdon is progressing well - just six months ago he was just getting his first "real" gear.
Ed showed up late in the afternoon riding an 8.5 and living large.
I rigged the big stuff which was occasionally interesting when the gusts off Aqualand in the channel would graze the low 20s. Sailed from VP out of necessity but had plenty of wind to make two separate trips up past Vanns and another almost all the way to the LLSC club house. Long sleigh rides back downwind. It's about as nice a warm water session as I could ask for. The water was flat, is still warm and the lulls weren't very often.
CP, traffic on the topside makes it awful to try to get back home before dark. 85 isn't as bad as it's primarily against the flow until the last few miles.
Test drove my new old Equipe, tuning up for Endless Simmer regatta this w/e. Launched from LLSC around 5 and saw some of you kids down VP way... and it musta been webguy ripping by Three Sisters just before I got out there. 9.5 was about right. Thanks LBD for the sweet ride you refurbed. Feels weird being stuck to the water
