Re: Inspiring

Do you know the story on her? The credits suggest she's a vet.

Thanks for posting.

Re: Inspiring

found this

Frances Rivera from Puerto Rico was training for the competitive kite boarding circuit in Florida in January 2011 when she injured her left leg in an accident which required a below the knee amputation. In April, Frances came to A Step Ahead for her initial temporary prosthesis. Within two days, Frances was walking and riding an exercise bicycle. Less than two weeks after receiving her first prosthesis, she is back to training for kiteboarding. Frances is another example of how A Step Ahead patients live life without limitations!

Thanks for looking it up. I got off my lazy butt and googled and came up with this page which suspiciously looks like it's a translation from somewhere else: http://usawindsports.com/2015/11/03/frances-rivera-november-rider-of-the-month/

Another "pirate" kiter: http://xtremesport4u.com/extreme-water-sports/sean-reyngoudt-an-amputee-who-makes-kitesurfing-look-easy/
