Saturday (maybe) and Sunday (could be) look good for morning easterlies. Stay tuned.
Friday looks good for electromagnetic experimentation (not that there's anything wrong with that). Maybe we'll get something pre squall line unless it's just the same old pop up storms.
I got lucky about 1 this afternoon. No lightning, not even rain. The grass was dry when I rigged at Van Pugh. A little mist, that was all the precip. I rigged an 8.5m with a wind shadow along the shore, but discovered it was really blowing and rigged down to a 7.0m. Between 3 and 4PM it was windy enough for a 6.0m. I was starting to pack up when Ed arrived, followed by Chris P., and then Scott, so I went back out for another session with nice, steady wind. Just as I called it quits, Chris V. flew by on his foil board.
Photos taken about 6PM 1. Scott & Ed windsurfing. 2. Chris foiling.
Epic day for me, getting past "mowing the lawn" and going upwind/downwind comfortably. OPd a lot on 6.5 without exploding and control enough to add speed, (but Spreen easily shut me down on a couple of reaches).
Long slog home to LLSC in dying wind but it came back at 7:30 for 45 min, to cap a swell day.

I will join in the festivities Friday afternoon.
Count me in if it blows. I'll keep an eye on StrikeFinder.

Saturday? Anyone? That could be fun. Not sure if my package from Miami will come in time so I might be earthbound.
Sunday seems to have disappeared.
I can't Saturday.
Which launch do we want to use Friday?
Probably one with a good electrical ground.

I'm thinking Van Pugh, but will check wind direction & radar before leaving.

Radar as of 10 AM. I guess you have to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky today? Well do ya?

I am thinking I will feel lucky around 4 this afternoon
