For what it's worth I'm gonna a give it a shot on the kite at old fed. Still waiting on my foil to arrive but I've got a 5'2 epoxy board that should be boyant enough to cruise around in light wind. Kayak on deck if all else fails
Worked out pretty well. Time-wise maybe 30% foiling, distance-wise: 90% foiling.
Kind of cool to work on speed– leveling off more with foot pressure so to stay sheeted in and let it accelerate.
Also fascinating to bear way off when the wind is petering out and the thing stays up way past what seems possible. The apparent wind is absolute zero, the rig is completely weightless but it keeps going on the foil. Crazy fun.

Effing jealous. I thought there was some potential but family commitments kept me home. Did get the new foil mast head sanded and fit to my board - that's progress, I guess. Chris, were you on 8.5 or 9.5?
Sailed with Foildüd for a couple hours. Foildüd did very well, he stayed on his board while I opted for a few swimming lessons. Went to Old Fed around 7 and me and CP got to do some moonlight sailing.
Very nice session for longboard and 5,8 from OFed. Cruising upwind amongst the islands, pretty well powered. Langdon came out late & we sailed sundown and moon up.
I am on my way to Old Fed, but I could join you at LLSC
Still watching it hover around 7-8...
