Our granddaughter, Effie, holding a flightless Coco bird. Most birds on Guam were wiped out by the unintended introduction of the brown tree snake.

With light winds after our arrival, Chuck, a friend of my son, invited us on a hike and snorkeling trip to protected Haputo Beach.

Hotels on Tumon Bay where you can rent beginner boards. Short boards can be rented at Cocos Island at the south side of Guam.
