Van Pugh - arrive early enough to get a spot as the seasonal crowds are starting to show up at the parks. Parking: yearly pass or $4 at the gate
bpw is in Hatteras. Gene may be on the way back. CV will be in Tallahassee, I presume, buying a board at auction. The rest of you have no excuses. Peelskid, don't even think about riding a dirt bike tomorrow. The water is still chippy so wear a shorty only if you are confident in your jibes.

I am planning on going somewhere. If anyone wants to go to Galts tomorrow, let me know. Otherwise I may make the trek to Lanier. I am looking at afternoon... Definitely after 2pm.

No dirt bikes. I ' m in. See you there.

I'll be there (VP) after noon.

I'm back and am going somewhere, VP or Old Fed.
Hatteras trip was real good! In two weeks, we had a few days with not much wind (suped) and rest of the days I kited mainly, with one day windsurfing on 5.2 and 86 liter. I do Love that Place.

Planning to be there around 1pm

Galts. For real.

Think I'll join Randy at Galt's Ferry. Gainsville is already 15 G 21 and it's supposed to continue to build and peak around 4:00. I don't have much fun in Lanier's chop so I'll leave it to the experts... -Bill H.

It'll be Galt's for me. Probably 2:30-3:00pm.
Choppy water or choppy wind - pick you poison. I'll go with choppy wind. Probably be there around 2-3.

Not much wind @ Galts @ 1:00. Ed just stopped by. Randy & Micah should be here 2-2:30. Maybe it'll pick up?
Bill Herderich
Apparently is picked up as the day went on. I didn't make it till 3:45 or so. Sailed 6.2 on the Start with 40 cm fin (left the long one at home.) Good planning till I quit ~6. Lots of boat chop, and the place was crowded. Summer is coming ready or not. We had a good turnout - Al, Eddie, Micah and Bill.

Good time and great weather. Could have done it with a shorty. Full suit was steamy.
Big thanks to all who showed up Sunday at Van Pugh. New faces, old faces too numerous to mention. Gusty and lots of boat traffic chop.
I think I finally was able to describe things when talking to my wife afterwards:
Imagine being able to drive a convertible with the top down on a beautiful spring day with the sun out, puffy clouds and wind in your face. Except you are going down the connector at 4 pm and there's construction and start/stop traffic. It's still a beautiful day but the road sucks. But, it's still a beautiful spring day.
Again, lovely seeing everyone.
So are you trying to say, my dear Webguy, that Galts outperformed Lake Lanier yet again? Where is your god now?

My god is still on Mt. Olympus - he's a moody sort so I leave him well enough alone.
Considering I was sailing my 6.9 fully downhauled plus a bit more, I'd hesitate to say Galts outdid VP. CP, who sailed on his 5.8, can vouch for us. The stop and go more alluded to it was either cranked or fairly light. I think the water is still too cold for the wind to stick.
I think I may have seen this posted by the gate when we came in:
oh, for those not familiar with Randy and me, we were roomies a couple of weeks ago at Hatteras. We're like an old bickering couple...
I got some of this at Shell Point on Sat ... nice to be sans wetsuit.
Chris,
Is that the Equipe? Every spring when the warm water splashes up when I"m windsurfing, I'm tempted to burn my wetsuit.
Randy,
webguy was all "this is Galts"
before he went out.
Then, he came crawling back on the beach like Tom Hanks.
