Almost live....Chris V just called (12:30) from VP, capping but pretty far out. He's going to ride over to the Sailing Club and Old Fed and look around.
I arrived at Van Pugh to find the parking lot empty. I'm glad that Gene called to say everyone headed over to Old Federal where the wind was blowing onshore. Chris P. decided to stay at Van Pugh. Nice sunny and warm-for-winter day at 50F. I rigged a 7.0 and, once away from shore, was on a constant plane. Kiters - Roger, Dave, Gene. Windsurfers - Voltar, Stephan, Chris V., Gene.
Good at Van Pugh, albeit with major shadow near shore. Sailed 5.8 but would have been happier on a 5.2. Scott Spreen came out and sailed with for a bit.

My experience and it seems replicated here is that VP can get as much as a meter more wind. Old Federal just doesn't have as much fetch and the islands upwind don't help either.
I'm in.

Heading for VP
Looks like late afternoon, stronger forecast and hopefully still warm (well, warm is not the right word....)!!
I plan on heading to Van Pugh later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, 'Toona was under a killer bee attack.
