Thinking about heading to Galts tomorrow afternoon (after 5 pm) or Friday (2-3pm). NW wind. If anyone is interested in going out, let me know. Friday is probably better for me but accommodation can be made for Thursday.
Nice turn out at Van Pugh this afternoon. Shred dog, Ed, Jim C, Chris P and Rhett. Cranked mid-afternoon and 5.8 to mid 6s were fully powered. Scott and I hung on to 7.5s. After a large cloud passed, the wind began to fade. Picked up later on when dark clouds moved in. It was the day we wished Sunday had been - traffic was less, wind not as gusty and water a lot better behaved.
Don't think I'll be able to make it tomorrow even though I'd love another session like we had today.
Strange... Its gusty as usual at Galts but the gust are lengthy and powerful. The wind is a little shifty which is frustrating. This is my first day trying to use a harness and its a bit much in these winds. Gotta go back to work but I may come back out this evening if the wind is still up.
I am planning on planing at Van Pugh noon-ish, Friday.

Richard Genet, Roger, David D, and I kited Old Fed. Richard was there early and ran a 10.0, the rest of us were on 14s.
I hope to kite Old Fed again this afternoon if it blows.
