This morning's local news actually said a cold front was coming through Thursday afternoon. We all know what that means!
Well, probably not much, but better watch it. The timing might be bad where what little wind we get comes through late Thursday night or early Friday morning.

That's probably why all the models are showing wind peaking at 7 mph tomorrow afternoon. Friday AM though does show the signs of a typical easterly. I'm going to keep my eyes on it, even though everybody else around here is always hating on easterlies.

I'm not so concerned with the wind, since it is July, but I am looking forward to the COLD part.

Looks like the front has passed... though "passed" might be too strong a word. Maybe it sauntered through
I watched it sauntered through. It acted more like a hiker than a biker.
I did get the cold part though. Jumped in the water, got on the jet ski, did 55 mph and I felt the COLD. It was like walking out the door in Colorado in the morning.

I, personally, don't hate easterlies - it's just that often, they aren't any good past noon or at Van Pugh - I hate having to sail through the hole towards the islands off Aqualand. I think a lot of folks show up around lunch time and then spend the afternoon getting disappointed.
Anywhooo, looks like there was a bit of a breeze this morning on the lake although down here in Atlanta, not much evidence of it.
Live update from beautiful green lake lanier.
No white caps but enough to push the Hobie Cat around. Still not enough to fly a hull. Fun for about 1.5 hrs.

There was some wind, unfortunately it didn't arrive until about 30 minutes before I had to leave. Tomorrow is another possibility.
webguy - I didn't count you as one of the haters. They know who they are....However, you do have to sacrifice a few z's if you want to get some dots. And Van Pugh is just not the place.
